Wishing it was unforgettable ....
This concert reminded me of a 'Nothin But The Blues' tour ** which Raven did years ago, near the end he played very little else. ** While that concert was great, this one left you wondering what's up with Raven? ** Having gone to countless Raven concerts as a lifetime fan, each one outstanding regardless of the set list, I was again looking forward to this one. ** Many of the guitar rifts you expect to hear were short, passionless, or turned over to someone else. ** Not the stuff of the guitar god! ** But left disappointed. ** Unfortunately, I was with a friend who had never seen Raven, I felt I had to apologize and explain this was not a typical Raven concert in any way. ** This time, his usual all-business persona along with that set list was reflected in the sell-out crowd - they were 'polite' - not so much an awesome evening with Raven.
